Ka·ṭa·pa·yā·di Calculator

An ancient Indian cryptographic system that assigns numerical values to Sanskrit consonants, used to embed hidden layers of meaning in mantras, sūtras, astronomical tables, and musical rāgas.

Type a Sanskrit word or phrase using the transliteration scheme below. Note: capital letters denote completely different sounds than non-capitalized ones — consult a beginning Sanskrit resource if you're unsure.

Example: AcArya (the Sanskrit word for teacher) → forward sequence 061, reverse sequence 160, house number 4, house sign Cancer. This gives insight into the nature of the teacher figure in Vedic thought and the word's placement in its sūtra.
